For National Healthy Eating Week (11th-15th June), I thought it would be a good idea to share my top 5 tips for following a vegan diet along with my 5 favourite budget vegan recipes.
I will be sharing 1 vegan top tip and 1 tasty vegan recipe every day this week until Friday so if you are thinking of turning vegan or even just want to reduce you meat/dairy intake, make sure you subscribe to get notified for each of my new posts to avoid missing out on one of my tips!
Healthy Eating week is a British Nutrition Foundation (BNF) initiative to help boost the nutrition of the nation’s diet. This week is a great opportunity to start making small changes to your diet to make it healthier, as small changes can result in big differences!
Whether it’s eating more fruit/vegetables, making time for breakfast or choosing healthier snacks, make this the week where you challenge yourself to have a more nutritious diet.
You could even challenge yourself to have a vegan week– if you need some inspiration for healthy vegan food, look no further as I’ve posted a range of different recipes on my blog (you can browse the different meal categories in the drop down menu at the top of this page).
I am a strong believer in the idea that healthy plant-based eating can be done on a student budget and does not have to involve expensive ingredients from special health food stores. I’m aiming to prove that with my vegan recipes this week and I really hope you guys feel inspired to try out at least one of them!
Why not challenge yourself to at least make at least one healthy change this week (like making time for breakfast!) and see what impact it has on your energy.
Are you taking part in Healthy Eating Week? Feel free to share what healthy change you’re making this week in the comments below.
